The 48-minute short film centers around two characters: a rambunctious youth named Jun, played by Yau Hawk-sau, and a seemingly stable banker, Michael, played by Carlos Chen…The two men, though from different backgrounds, find love through their mutual feelings of isolation from their families…But, when life seems to be going swimmingly for the couple, an unwelcome ex appears and reveals the shattering news that he is infected with HIV – and that Jun is also pretty likely to test positive as well…Drama and tears ensue before the journey of acceptance begins…
My Review:
Well this is a good movie giving out a message about HIV…Now I know
most people don’t even wanna talk about this, especially the place I come from…But
how can we make people aware without talking about it…Secondly I don’t understand
why when a gay person is found out having AIDS, people are like ”Yeah he would
have got it sometime”…As if they are destined to it…
There are people who look down on this community and just make
some homophobic comments, not knowing and even trying to understand what they
are going through…Don’t talk about someone ,when you have really not walked in
their shoes…
The movie deals with the complexities and difficulties of coming
out, dealing with family relationships and the struggles of actually living
with HIV…It might not be your routine romantic movie, but it definitely is a
movie everyone need to watch…The cast has done extraordinarily well…Applause for
taking this subject…
My Rating: 8/10
Must watch…Understand/cherish other parts of BL community too…Not
just love/sex…
